Remove Db Killers on Akra's?

Has anyone removed the Db killers on the Akra Evo system canisters? Any hp gains? Any overall improvements in performance? Is the sound level obnocious or delicious?

I tried mine out when I had the PC fitted, only 1 bhp gain at peak power though, a bit more midrange. A bit too loud for me, so I put them back in.
