Some people have claimed on this forum to have got as little as 50-60 miles before the light came on.
Personally with careful riding and avoiding any riding tips by Ankka or Mekanik, I normally get between 85-100 miles before reserve.
I do use 22 miles of motorway on my journey to work though.

Yes, Gregz and I lowered the sensor. This can ONLY be done with 05 bikes as these have a separate fuel sensor. Mine is lowered some 12mm but it didn't change much. If done again I would lower it with some 20mm to start.
To find out what is the exact capacity and range of the tank I've run my bike dry two times carrying a bottle of fuel in my backpack.
KTM specifies 15 ltrs. capacity but the fuel pump gets only 14 ltrs out of the tank. Not more. With the current fuel consumption of my bike this is a range of 180 - 190 KM or 112 to 118 mls.
Average fuel consumption is 13 KM/ltr or 30 MPG .
