I've discovered an unusual problem on my SD. I have the Evo cans attached and I've found that the number plate hanger is rubbing a small hole into the carbon tips of the cans. The cans are able to twist a tiny, tiny, tiny fraction within the straps holding them to the bike and the subsequent vibrations are rubbing a hole in them!
If I forcefully twist the cans back into line they only hold their place for a short period of time. I've removed the end-cans, straps etc and tried lining them up again but no joy. I know I could try filing down the number-plate hanger, but any other suggestions?
The local KTM dealer fitted them approx 16months ago - I doubt they'd lay claim to them causing the problem, even though I did highlight it to them 6-months ago.
