Sommer KTM told me that how the SAS system should be removed depends on the fuel map (and thus exhaust). It's not just rip it off and fit the blanking plates. SAS is connected to the ECU and the fuel/ignition map determines what needs to be done or the ECU could get wrong info.

Have you checked this with your dealer?
