Hey Mkinzer,

Your absolutely right...it should be a slam dunk to fab a bracket using the tank mount. Everyting else would line up with off the shelf parts!!

But as you also mentioned, everything Scott's produces it first rate stuff.

I'll just have to be a little more patient.

you and me both.

Headshake at 130 cresting a hill......not so good.

Headshake at 130 cresting a hill and entering a decreasing radius corner....oh %$#@^

Ask me how I know....I used to roadrace a super pig called the TL1000S.

I used to club a CBR900RR out at Willow and that thing was downright scary with track tyres and no damper (and it was substantially more stable than my SD).

The kit picture is just a standard picture they use for most of their damper kits. It is not representitive of the Superduke kit. We will use a bar mount as in the installed picture in lieu of the kit picture which shows the steering-stem nut mounting method.

The pin mount looks a little large! I was hoping it would be a little smaller. Oh well at least I'll finally get my damper mounted up. Can always modify it if I'm not completely happy.

I have always used scott's dampers.....They tend to not get waded up in a high side and are easier to adjust in motion. Plus they are a cool gold color.

I had one on my R1 but not sure how it looks on the SD. It just does not seen to belong there.

I had one on my R6 and I loved it. Worked great and looked good at the same time. I guess I just need to see it on a SD in person.

Rock,

Just left Scott's Performance (I had to exchange a new dirt damper for the street damper). They are expecting the kits this afternoon and will be shipping it to me Monday. I should have it Tuesday and mounted up shortly thereafter. I suggested they anodize them black in liue of silver to prevent the tower bracket from standing out so much. The've tried that in the past and the sun faded the anodizing. I will probably have mine powder coated black...eventually.

Just took a quick spin around the block and the suspension feels way more controlled. Can't wait to get it out for a real ride!!

Going to install the PCIII tonight and just load the Zero Map. Plan on going for a spin up to the the Rock Store tommorow. Let me know if you want to hook up for a putt. We could meet down here or up there. Let me know.

I'm sure I'd recognize you as you'd be the only other guy on an SD!

Have any of you guys thought about getting one of these?
Its made by MSC here in oz and is a top quality piece of kit, cost about $800 with mounting kit.
