I bought my SD earlier this year after briefly owning a K6 GSXR750 and deciding i didnt like it and that regularly doing 140+mph on the roads was a bad idea especially as i cannot afford to lose my licence for work. Anyway, the bike is an '06 and had 1300miles on it and nearly all the carbon parts available including the seat hump plus a black seat just leaving the tank and rad shrouds in orange. It also had the Akrapovic cans and remap.
Since i'v owned it I have fitted the 16t front sprocket, R&G kit, Pilot Power 2CTs and had it remapped at HM Racing using the Rapidbike module making 119bhp at the rear wheel. However, since it was mapped it has had a glitch at about 4-5krpm like a tiny hiccup in the mapping. HM Racing now have it back and cannot cure the glitch without disconecting the Rapidbike module so the problem lies there. Tomorrow however they are getting the first PowerCommander in the country for the SD and are going to map it using that. I will let you know the results when i get them.
HM are also playing with the suspension as their man Perry is a genius. The rear spring is being changed as they are very soft and the front forks are being revalved to match. Apparently this will transform the bike. Again i will let you know the results when i get it back.
The other parts for my bike are Rizoma rearsets (on their way) and PVM wheels hopefully arriving around the end of january. Then its just sorting out the number plate/rear end and riding her. I'll get pictures up when its all done.
