My SD was recently put on a very large and supposedly very accurate scale. It weighs 418 lb. wet (tank full tank of gas, all fluids, etc). It has no weight reduction modifications other than Akra slip-ons. I’m curious as to what your bikes might weigh and what people are doing to reduce the weight of their bikes.

I just keep adding weight to mine. I need to lay off the desert after dinner.

I weighed mine shortly after I got it. Fuel light was on, no tools. The didital scale it was on kept blinking between 390 and 400, so it's safe to say it weighed a little under 400. I am very happy with that. I have the CF FMF's on mine. Other than the exhaust, the SD is pretty much what it is. SAS system is maybe a pound, but is that going to be noticeable?

*New years resolution: finally drop a few pounds. The first thing I did was quit drinking soft drinks and sweet tea. That alone saved me aprox 400 calories a day. But the real benifit is, now that I am drinking water, my appetite for chips, cookies, candy, and other junk has pretty much gone away. it's been only 10 days, but I can already tell that my work pants are getting a bit looser.

The exhaust is easily the best weight saving option other than losing
weight yourself! I'm about 70kg with all the gear on

When manufacturers claim dry weights do they mean 100% dry or just no fuel in the tank. Just wondering.
