Could be faulty oil pressure sensor or wiring leading to sensor ?

They should be able to swap out this part to verify this.

I can't see how heat would effect the oil pressure wire to give a different reading unless the wiring was faulty.

I got mine fixed, It was the wire. My dealer said that the wire is too close to the motor and needs to have a wrap on it to isolate it from the heat of the motor.

My dealer talked to a KTM rep at the dealers show about this and he said In cases where they replaced the sensor and solved the problem, they also moved the wire and that is what really fixed it.

If you want to do it yourself and save a trip to the dealer just put some wire wrap on the sensor wire on the back of the front cylinder. It's hard to get to but it will stop the light from coming on.

Okay--I am getting the oil light at HOT idle--especially if fan is on, which goes away if I blip the throttle. Interestingly, if I SLOWLY increase RPMS to up to around 3000 RPM, the light will stay on before finally going out. Maybe when I blip, the vibration hit is what turns the light off? Oil is obviously full.

The wires I can see from the left side for both oil pressure senders do not actually touch any engine part or coolant hose--but very close--and why would heat that effect electrical current anyways? Maybe in re-routing the wires, they are not contacting and being re-connected better?

Thanks for any help, here. Like many, I am not impressed with dealer service--they don't see many, and I'd like to solve this myself w/o missing a week of riding while it sits in the shop.
