Sediment in the coolant overflow

Like a few others, I've noticed a low coolant level in the overflow. It seems to fluctuate at times. Right now, the overflow level is just over the min line...other times, it's at the level seen below. A couple of times after long-ish rides in warm weather I've noticed a bit of puddle on the right side. I don't see any indication of a leak from the water pump, the left side hose seems to be clamped tight enough, and the radiator cap is free of debris and fuzz. I had a 9k mi service done at about 10k miles, but the invoice doesn't indicate that the water pump seal was replaced (per some posters remark that there's a KTM bulletin regarding this interval replacement). I'm wondering what the sediment is in the overflow and if as long as the level remains over the min line and temps seem stable (which they do - I've been watching!); just ensure there's coolant in the radiator and the overflow remains relatively stable?

At the 10k service, I had to return the SD to the dealer to re-bleed the coolant because they screwed it up the first time and there was rolling boil in the overflow after the first couple of rides....
