Seizing Brakes

I know this has had a mention in the Hooligan Section but since my off last week I have seen a few other threads and forums on the subject of Superdukes crappy front discs.

So just to see exactly how many of you have had problems, can you just put a reply on here, not necessarily with your personal details cos I want to see how widespread a problem it really is.

I know of some owners how actually strip their front brakes every 3 - 4 weeks to make sure they are okay. I think that is wrong, we shouldn't have to so if you do for that reason, again please add your reply.

Also if any SM owners have had the same problem ?

I use my bike all year but that should not be a problem, it is serviced by the dealer, I wash every week and generally look after it.

I have never had a bike in all my 40 years of riding where the brakes seize (pads into the calipers) to such an extent they lock the wheel up while riding.

I'd just be interested to see how many have been effected ?

A wee bit catchy if she has been sitting for a couple of days, but nothing too major.
Although I do strip, clean and regrease them every 3-4 weeks.

Unfortunately the put loads on and they also mix it with sugar apparantly to make it more sticky which of course makes it fookin lethal to bikers !!
