service issues!

ok, I am going to make this giant ordeal out of "BLIPPING" first it started with 05 was better than the 06 then 07's were crap, then 08 SDR's are pure junk!

then it was orange against black, cos orange is faster then it was, I am going to hunt you down to kill you if you keep a touring shield on that SD,

then SDR's were far superior over the SD, then it was rim tape is gay, then high octane and tyres,

now we have blipping V no blipping, slipper V no slipper, I ranted to shade about this and now he ain't speaking to me..

"cool".................eh everyone to there own. I just think valve setting cus it cuts out should be on warranty not out of my very small pocket! I love sd's in any colour, shape and year........longs it Orange!!! LOL

Oh yeh...............where can i get a touring shield from????? I'll be buying heated grips next!!! LOL

I have adjusted valves that were out by 2X and never seen one run differently... but like you said to each thare own mate..

when i did my first valve adjustment all four of my exhaust valves wre out of spec.

Just keeping everyone up to date, had my bike serviced at AMS and to be fair glad i took it to them! Looked after me really well and left the bike there for a week. Just fitted a set of Akras so back over this Saturday to get her remapped. Also had the 16 tooth front sprocket put on. Thanks to stupid luke for the cans they look and sound sweet

Just a small adjustment on the exhaust valves i think, nothing major. They did sort out a slight oil leak i had. Fowlers hadn't fitted an oil pipe bracket properly so it had kinked the pipe.

Have to say i always blip my throttle changing down through the gears and have never had a problem with it stalling then. I did have a problem with it occasionally stalling if I very gently blipped it when stationary. This is I believe is down to a very light fly wheel?? Mine is an 06 SD

I do think my engine was still quite tight even though it had done 6000 when i bought it. The previous owner had treated it with a bit too much respect if you ask me. I on the other hand rag the arse off it whenever the opportunity arises and I'm sure she develops more power now than when i bought it.
