Sidestand (temporary) removal?

So, what would one need to do to remove the sidestand, as for a Track Day (putting it back on at the end of the day, so minimum fuss required)?

Of course, one needs to unbolt it and take it out, but then you need to connect some wires, probably, so the bike doesn´t think it´s still got the sidestand and it´s down, right?
KTM sells the module you plug in to fool the ECU into thinking the side stand is up.

SIDE STAND DISASSEMBLY KIT
Part# 61034030100
Allows you to remove the side stand for racing application.

Can't remember what the sidestand switch looks like, but can't you just put a cable tie round it to keep it depressed?
