Sigma fitting help

Ok fitted my Sigma Slipper Clutch:

Image

But it wont let me pull in the clutch?

However if I undo the spring bolts 10mm it then works?! but clearly they are not then torqued in as far as they go? It looks like the Suzuki springs are too compressed almost.

Im stuck for ideas? Got all the parts I need im sure of it.

I put the clutch pack back in as I got it, however removing the last KTM metal plate replacing it with a thicker Suzuki one.

It says on instructions:
Install the standeard clutch plates in the basket in a different order to standard (DONE) install a small I/D friction plate, then a steel plate, then fit the chatter rings and then a large I/D friction plate, the rest of the plates fit exactly as they came apart.....

WTF are chatter rings and small/large I/D friction plates?? I just put it all in as per it came out pretty much.

None of my clutch plates seem to be worn excessively.

Will ring Sigma tomorrow but any help apprechiated.

It says about 10NM.

BUT I have screwed the bolts all the way in? surely they should be bolted all the way in? otherwise how do I get it even all over, feels like the bolts are too short....

And yes they are almost touching I would suggest.

Good point Dan, the bolts on my 916 always were all the way in.

For sure if those springs are 100% compressed the clutch can't work though. I could call my dealer tomorrow, see if Wayne can remember fitting mine.

To me that reads as -

The 2 metal rings that you wud find at the very back of the cltch pack need to go in AFTER a standard clutch plate and ring,

This wud make sence as the 2 rings cud fall into the basket when the slipper action was enabled!?!?

I hope you see wat i mean???

I seem to remember that the first plate in is different in some way.

So is the small I/D friction plate not number 10 as its smaller?

Which means the order I have done dont it?

Reading your posted description Dan, and looking at the diagram of the clutch, Ash's solution sounds pretty convincing.

If all else fails, send it to me and I'll sort it for you into the correct order.

I'll need at least a year to test it on the bike however but I guarantee I'll have it working for me, I mean you

Actually I know bugger all about em but Big Ash sounds like he knows what he's talking about so I'm sure you'll be up and running soon.
