Has anyone removed the standard exhaust and fitted a single system in it's place? Seems to me that you could potentially save another couple of kilos by only having the one muffler / piping... I'm on a mission of saving weight without emptying the bank account on carbon fibre goodies.
Pros:
Saves on cost of cans
Saves weight
Might sound wicked
Cons:
Have to make sure it doesn't hurt the look of the bike
Can has to be able to flow sufficient volume
Would need a remap (no big deal)
I heard a VTR SP2 Honda twin with a single system the other day. The note was a fair bit higher pitched and tighter sounding than the classical V twin throd. While it sounded different - it was a fantastic sound !
Anyone tried this?
