Slack in throttle cable

Hello,

On the Suzuki's I've owned, adjusting the throttle cable slack was easy, it had a screw you could turn to either add or remove tension. New to KTM, this feature does not exist on the SD.

Right now with the handlebars straight, there is a little less than 1/8 of turn and I think it shouldn't be that much. Turning the bars full left, there is still a little slack.

Is this normal? Is there a procedure on how to adjust it?

Mine was excessively slack also, easy to adjust.

just below the grip, it's the front most cable, just pull back the rubber boot to expose the 10mm jam nut against a hex sleeve. Adjust slack carefully, if it's too tight you could have a runaway, (check idle while turning lock to lock.)

I started with about 9mm slack and now have >2mm which makes the on/off/on throttle application MUCH better.

Thanks Tim. I found it. Was finally able to get rid of the excessive slack. Much better on/off throttle control now.
