I've just started to gain confidance on my sdr, i'm now leaning in more on corners however it feels like the back wheel is sliding away from me (like a low side)
Is it my poor technique or something more like suspension, i'm not no Rossi and I so dont wanna bin it for a few clicks on the suspension.
The setting ain't been changed from when i got it (so they could be all over the place I spose), should i start to fiddle ???
Think I need some advise, Please help !!

Would start off by making sure all your suspension is on stock settings evben if you did buy it new my mates 690 SMR had one fork compression way off If all is ok go from there.

I was losing the back end a lot with my 07 SDR. I knew it wasnt technique as had ridden my 05 SD through the same corners without incident.

I am no suspension expert but it felt like the rear shock wasnt compressing quickly enough but rebounding too fast.

Again, mine was a used bike so I didnt know if it was on stock settings or if the previous owner had been fiddling with it.

Rather than back everything off and start chasing set up around. I decided to bite the bullet and head to a professional. I used HM Racing but MC Technics are nearer you and very helpful.

Perry at HM reckons the problems with Superdukes are mostly front end. He reckons it sits too high and is too firm. This transmits throught the frame and causes the rear end woes we had. His solution was lighter fork springs and a different air gap. It seems to have improved things.

I would suggest speaking to Mark at MC it may cost a couple of hundred quid but you will notice the improvement and it is definately cheaper than a crashed bike.

If you are gonna have a try yourself I can pm you the setting that HM have put on mine. Let me know what you decide.

thanks all, just checked my tyre pressure and found that the front is quite low 23.5 psi, and in the manual it says its ment to be 35psi (using a pressure gauge from m&s an old xmas prezzie I found in the draw !! so dunno how accurate)
Dunno if that would cause the rear sliding but i think thats where its best to start, if that dont improve things im gonna adjust all the suspension back to stock settings!

Have you noticed any tracking on the road too? Could be a sign that your tyres are squaring off.....how are they looking?
