Slipper clutch, help/advice needed

I haven't got one but doesn't sound right to me, if the clutch lever is in it shouldn't be binding, I'm sure Ducati Pete or somebody will be along soon with a definitive answer though.

Jody, get the bike nice and warm and try it again.
Cold it's not unusual to have some clutch drag as I'm sure you know.
