Hope to get some input & diagnosis from you all.

Took the bike out today, drove it around the block briefly (all in first gear). After that, I went to pull out on a busier street, with no problems taking off. But as soon as I grabbed the clutch and put it into second, the bike died.

I had to get back to work, so I didn't have time to look around too much. I've got my user manual in front of me now, but not the bike (until I'm home from work). It mentioned the clutch coming unattached to the fuel line. I'm wondering if it's fuel related, due to how quickly it died. I plan on checking the fuel pump fuse when I return home.

Anyone have any ideas on possible root cause?
