Stalling

I got out for my 2nd ride on the SD today... fantastic fun despite frozen fingers from 3*C temps.

As I was coming back into town, I clutched in while rolling and the bike stalled. Punch the starter and off I go. It happened a couple of times shortly after as I slightly blipped the throttle prior to heading off from a stop.

I've read about stalling issues coming down from 5k RPM (which may have been the initial stall) but not from blips. That said, I haven't adjusted the clutch yet and it does drag/pull a bit when clutched in as I keep 2 fingers behind the lever on the bar... could this be my issue or have I got one of the "problem" bikes that does this?
I had this problem but it was sorted on the service the bloke i bought the bike from had taken the air filter out and never put it back in so on its 1st service the dealer put a filter in now i have a moto to fit when i get chance

just make sure the filter is clean might be that

The throttle position sensor might need to be adjusted, that causes a lot of the stalling issues.
And to beat Lowrance to the punch, also clean the BGC and grease it up with dielectric grease.

So after running a few Google searches;

BGC
BGC defined
what is the BGC...

I found lots of references to BGC... but no definition.

Then I found that there's ALSO a BBC... WTF?!

Then I found it, I shoulda known it was gonna be Big Grey Connector, right up there with BFG from my army days.

Now I've got some reading to do! hehe
that's the one
Just take off the right tank spoiler and you should be able to see it already. It's somewhere near the front right of the airbox.
So I've just thought of another possibility; I installed the Yosh and never allowed the ECU to reset. I think I'll try that first, then read up on adjusting the TPS. As I look further I'm finding all kinds of things I can do with this bike... reminds me of my TL.

I'm thinking that my only complaints about this bike are the stalling and the harsh on/off throttle. If I'm reading and understanding correctly, sorting out the BGC and TPS will go a long way for this. The O2 sensors will likely be next.

I do have another question; when doing a warm(er) start up I hear quite the clatter from the engine for a few seconds. I'm guessing that this is a product of the dry sump system (I've never experienced one before)?

And it looks like I have to get a TuneECU cable ordered...
