Hmmm SHades may well be battery then.
I bought a solar charger on Ebay for £13 as i don't have power. Plug it in every few days for a couple of hours and it's great. Has a max charge limit so the battery doesn't over charge etc. Doesn't need direct sunlight, just daytime somewhere close
