Strange Running Problem

I previously reported that the SD had been having problems in that it had intermittant running problems, i.e. over the last few days it was running it wouldn't rev over 5000, it revved clean until then but after 5k it would cough and plutter. I eventually used the recovery service to take it down to the dealer and over the last week it wouldn't do it again ! However after speaking to the guys in Austria they have heard of it happening only once before and it seems to be something to do with the fuel pump.
The dealers are waiting to hear back from KTM to see how to sort it so if anyone else out there has the same problem at least you are not alone !

With the KTM diagnostic tool a dealer can perform a complete test of the fuel pump and fuel system without the need to wait and hear back from KTM Austria. Does your dealer have and use the diagnostic tool?

Yup but as the fault is intermittant they can't find anything wrong, it was only after discussing it with the bosses in Austria that they admitted it was a problem even though there had only been one other case.
