Strange symptoms

Another bit of trouble. Yesterday my 08 SD exhibited a strange behavior. Normally when I start it up it goes to 3,000 rpm and stays there for maybe 10 seconds (when cold) and then lowers on its own to around 1,000 rpm normal idle speed. Yesterday it stayed at 3,000 for over a minute until I shut it off and restarted it. The bike was not cold as I had gone to a friends house and the motor was still warm. Also, while riding it about 10 minutes into the ride home I was stopped at a red light and I noticed it was back up to 3,000 idling too fast.

Any ideas what might be causing this? The only thing I have done to the bike so far is installed the O2 sensor plugs I got from from KTMTwins but I can't see that they would have anything to do with it...but?

Thanks.
Had you washed the bike before the problems started, if so you've proberly got water in the Big grey plug ( its behind the right side fairing piece ) Disconnect it blast both sides with some compressed air and grease it up with some dieletric grease to stop it happening again.
