Hi,
Any of you guys had one of these bikes stripped, as in engine out of chassis, swingarm off and such? My reason for asking is I am having one shipped from the states to Se Asia and it need to be completely separated for customs purposes. Just trying to figure out the size of crates it will fit in. Also, is the fuel tank Some sort of composite or metal?

Thanks
How the hell are you sending that!!!!! Never heard of stripping a bike down like that before, even to put it on a plane only requires the fuel tank to be empty.

Check out this site for good shipping info

The bike is being exported, not just for a trip. Can't even get it in the country unless it's in pieces.

I would say he is shipping it dismantled so that it can be nominated as spare parts and therefore avoid paying large import duties.
It a common practice.
