Superduke chop

Like the title says I wanna chop the rear end off my duke, nothing crazy just the amount that's used for passengers.
I dont take pillions so dont need the excess, besides I think it's gonna look like a factory streetfighter, I'm sure there are many who
will suggest reasons why not not to, but I would like to hear from those who can probably help with info on all/any prob's I will/might
encounter, puttin a few pic's and post's is my technical limit so if anyone can photoshop something that would be great.
So, thoughts good and bad will be well received

I will use the sdr seat and mount as the basis and maybe a tail piece from sport bike just to house the rear light.
Something on these lines but not quite as short;

These can at the mo, to be replaced with a racefit single side.

Save the time and money it wont look any better.

Then go buy some exhausts.

change the pipes first, skinny pipes and no heat shields make a difference...

but if you do... the standard taillight would still look good and be wide enough and some trick indicators

IF you want access to your fuse boxes You'll need to build a lock mechanism into whatever tail piece you use to lock the seat down, as it is only held on the bike by the lip on the petrol tank and the lock on the SDR tail unit, I'm sure it would be easy enough to use your existing SD seat lock and the parts from the SDR version in the same way as it works with the conversion kit on the new tail piece, you'll just need to drill a hole to fit the lock through and maybe glue some stoppers on the underside for the latch plate to butt against when open and closed.
