Sounds like he's got his mouth and arse mixed up....

One of the benefits of dry sumping is that the oil isn't picked up from a sloshing oil pan, but from a custom made reservoir that's designed to house the oil.
"All" modern racing engines are dry sumped.

i did the 600 mile break-in, sent it to the tuner, then 400miles straight in track days

My 07 handbook states somewhat that the SD is not suited to track riding.
I ignored that section and my bike loves me for it!
