SuperDuke Radiator guards

Finally! Cox Racing group is going to be making some radiator guards for the 05-08 Superduke! They supplie almost all the AMA racing teams with their products, I've had one on every sportbike I've owned. Cheap insurance for your $400+ radiator! and they look trick! They are going to use my bike for R&D, they said it should take about 2 weeks!!! I'm not sure on all the colors(trying for orange) but I know there will black! Just dropped my bike off @ Cox Racing, They said the guards are going to be $79.99 +S/H, colors are going to be Chrome,Titanium,black, and a limited run for Orange!!!. I'm going to get a Titanium one AND a Orange one.

I was just thinking(really trying to up my post count) Cox would probably hook up the 950SM if they got some e-mails + they would need to borrow a 950SM(yours?) to get it done.

Mate - if there is still time - can you ask them to come up with a design solution that will also work for the SDR??? Or any SD running the 'under the bottom yoke steering Damper' for that matter.

I got a Radguard from Aussie and it fouled the steering damper so I couldn't use it ... The guard needs to sit very tight to the radiator curve - if it also covered the tanks at either end it would be perfect!

$80 is a great price by the way...

I just got off the phone with Andy @ CoxRacing, He was wondering how much room is there between the radiator and the dampner? He told me the guards are contured to the radiator and they will be about a 1/4" thick.

DMNTD glad to see someone else here has the ability to see a problem and make a quick and inexpensive fix . I have done that for EVERy track and road bike I have ever owned in the last 10 years. $4 worth of expanded aluminium, cardboard, 2 sided sticky door seal foam, and rad guard's R us.

I finally got some pics of the radiator guard on my bike. I ended up getting the Titanium, it looks black at different angles, It was a little more noticable than the Black. I love it!!! I posted a couple pics in the Photo Gallery under "Accessories".

EVER AMA team uses Cox Racing guards besides Yoshimura Suzuki. I was just posting this info about these guards to help out the fellow SuperDuke owners, and all Ive seem to get is a bunch of adittude like im trying to rip people off??? I mean you own a $14,000 bike and your bitching about a $80 piece? Thank God Joe you have a friend that can build it for ya. Not everyone has friends that can build stuff for them. If you dont like the guards dont buy one, Simple. But please dont sit here and try and make me or Cox Racing look like a thief. Nobdy makes fun of you because your an "Okie".
