sinex, I can relate. I have a dealer thats 5 miles from my house who had 3 sd's on floor for 6 months but refused to sell me one. He also refuses to service my bike. tells me that I will have to leave it for a couple weeks. dealer I purchased bike from is 45 miles away and family owned and gave me a super deal on bike. Problem with him is he's a super nice guy but cant help being stupid and dishonest. Told me he had synchronized the throttle bodies when in fact he had not. wonder if he did anything to the bike while it was visiting. The yellow stripe of paint put on by the factory was undisturbed so he lied to me. The trouble with KTM and the superduke is that the maintenance schedule does not call for synchronizing or balancing the throttle bodies. I dont know why. Every japanese bike calls for synchronizing those 4 carbs or throttle bodies at every service including the first. Read all the posts from members who claim the problem disappeared after their first service. they apparently had dealers who balanced the throttle bodies. BELIEVE ME, I have balanced the throttle bodies and the bike now runs perfectly. Like its supposed to. check the thread titled surging problem solved.

before my first service I emailed 5 dealers within driving distance. keep in mind I sent the posts from ktm's website directly through the dealer network. I asked them to quote me a price, time frame for completion and whether they had possession of the ktm diagnostic tool(required for the first service). 1 dealer said they did not have the diagnostic tool and had no plans to purchase it. the dealer I purchased the bike from also sent me a reply. not one other dealer even cared to respond. this is an awesome bike but KTM DEALERS SUCK

Strange thing is, the Service Manual says:

"NOTE: never carry out any work on the throttle body; no adjustments
are necessary. "

Perhaps thats why Sinex's dealer says it automatically adjusts itself!!!!!!!

It's like they don't want you to have a bike thats running right!

Maybe the computer has a 8mm spanner and screwdriver at it's disposal?

This bike is still the biggest mistake I have made in recent years, even with the G2 cam (which I should'nt have to buy) the POS still has a mind of it's own with high and low idle's, massive engine brake then non at all, I for one will NEVER buy another KTM as long as I live, shame really as my long term plan was heading for a RC8, but now after living with the SDR and my 08 R1 i'm sorry, but the SDR is a piece of shit.

No correction, it's a fooking piece of shit
