well its on an rc8 but more or less the same tank. well first time i cleaned it i decided to put some polish liquid and it did not turn our so well as you can see were the difference in some parts . always did the same on my superduke which was black and orange and never had any problem as i think the tank came slightly laquered tho the rc8 obviously does not. by the way its the slow balck one. so i could just keep adding more until its all the same or maybe someone can point me in the right direction, if not i will in the future get it laquered or sprayed shiny black.

#2Use a micro fibre cloth or a melamine sponge to clean it. They will remove any polish on there (if that's what you're getting at?). Test the sponge on a hidden bit of plastic first....but i use it a lot on my Ike and its fine.
If you don't know what melamine sponge is, google the V sponge that's used for visor cleaning, same thing! They even do a large one for cleaning bikes
