The Aftermath

After I went down last weekend, It seems like my bars are tweeked a bit. I hope it is just the bars If you look at the picture, you can tell by the black fork adjusters, that the bars are slanted to the left. Is it possible for the entire mounting clamp assembly to twist in a get-off? How do I tell if it is just the bars or something more serious without putting new bars on? The bike handles the same as before, but its annoying feeling the bars turned slightly left when I'm going straight Working on painting the panels, and just picked up a brand new race (reversed) shifter to replace the bent one off of ebay for $9.99.

I agree with what the guys said above, but the handlebar clamp can get bent as well. I went down at the track a few weeks ago and I bent one of the bolts for the risers (to the triple clamps) and thought that was the only thing out of whack. Unfortunately I found out that the handlebar clamp (holder) was bent as well so I had to purchase a new one.

Ok...so I undid the clamp, reset the bars, and noticed that they are not bent, good news right? Wrong....upon further investigation I noticed that the bars and instrument/headlight are slanted to the left when the wheel is straight. Is there a way to align the bars and headlight assembly as a whole? Loosen some bolts and turn them slightly while keeping the forks and wheel straight? Please help, its driving me fooken crazy as I dont want to unbolt the wrong thing
