has anyone ever had the word SOFT come up on the dash?? it has happened twice to me know, then it goes away and bike seems fine, got me stuffed.
Its only when i start it.
are you sure its not saying

SOFT LAD
It's the Superduke taking the piss out of you for not riding hard enough!
hahahahaha, i was waiting for the above comments to come out, belive me its getting riden hard enough. The dealer said he has never herd of it and i cant find anything in the manual either.
it's usually an indicator of a battery fault, or charging problem.

When did it come up? I had it once after my bike failed to start due to a weak battery
Search 'soft 32 - dat 101' on here
Easily fixed by putting some Viagra in the tank, although that tends to mean that the bike stands up a lot (at least that's what I told the officer).
Did your clock and trip reset to zero?
Mine has done it a couple of times when starting and there seems to be some sort of failure. It was OK afterwards.
It also did it when I had a faulty regulator/rectifier but that also blew the headlight bulb then the bike wouldn't run.

Have you checked all electrical connections, battery terminals etc? I guess a loose contact could cause it
Your battery is low. Saw the same yesterday before charging after storage.
its a bloody brand new bike, ill be pissed if its a fooked battery with only 1000km on the clock, ill check over for loose terminals.
thanks for the help guys.
