Touching up radiator paint?

Is "high heat" paint necessary? I bought some "underhood black" from NAPA which says it can be used for radiators and various other underhood black items. Anyone ever get fancy and try crinkle finish, etc.? Would/should any prep be done to radiator?

unless aluminium is primered,it will peel again.

OR you coud yous BBQ paint .
