My original Diablo on the rear lasted 3000ks and 12000k's out of the front (was absolutely shagged) then fitted a Diablo Strada to the rear & got 8500k's out of it (did change my riding style a tad) and only got one powerslide out of it (public road and all). Have now fitted Metlezer (sp) Z6's front and rear and have 2500k's on them and loving them and I do ride reasonably hard

I resently changed the rear tyre (one more time) so I thought to check on the new CorsaIII. I found that the tyre (at least in Greece) has the same price as the stock Corsa. Didn't put it on though as it doesn't go along with the corsa front. So in the next change I ll fit both front and rear and give you a word. I like the consept of these tyres. Its something all tyre companies should do for bikes that travel most of the time in the city or on highways. Bridgestone was the first and Pirelli follows. Lets see some Metzelers and MIcellens.

I recently changed to Michelin 2CT's which are quite honestly awesome! Amazing levels of grip and after about a thousand miles seem to be wearing really well for a grippy tyre. Not that cheap though, paid £186 for a pair but money well spent methinks.

Yep, agree with bald kirk. I believe the blueing is caused by the continous heating up of the tyre and then cooling down (heat cycle). Lots of heat cycles is not good for a tyre like the supercorsa which is why people say its best to use tyre warmers for trackdays keeping the heat cycles down to as few as possible to preserve the tyre. (heat them up for the first session, do the sess, come in and put the warmers back on and so on for the rest of the day. 1 cycle = good!)

If it was me doing my first trackday off the year I wouldn't want to do it on tyres that have already done 3 track days and some road mileage. I would change em for sure.

Yep, I can only add more of the same.

Everytime a tyre heats up and cools down, the chemicals in it go
through a reaction. What you get at the end is different from what
you start with, though road tyres are obviously designed to degrade very
slowly over many heat cycles. Race tyres don't have such modifiers (or
so many) and consequently many are trashed after a few cycles.

Very noticeable blueing indicates that the tyre got quite hot, and
then quite cold.

It's probably some of the chemicals in the tyre making
their way out to the surface. It's nothing to worry about as it soon scrubs off, it's not a sign of premature wear or anything.

Hope it helped.
