vacuum hoses...

i think this might be something many of us might be doing wrong, but i'm not entirely sure...
i think one of the hoses from the 'can in the arse' should be vented, the other one plugged... either right in the arse, or at the controll valve (right hand side, just over coolant tank), or right on the engine block (vacuum connections on the engine block, directly under both throttle bodies; see engine parts manual, p 20-21, #

how important is it? no clue, i run with hoses open for few moths... didn't notice difference... was unfiltered air being sucked into my engine?? i don't know. anyone who knows how this system works exactly, please correct me if i'm wrong!!!

cjc, what resistor did you use for that one? i figured it can be done this way, much like the SAS valve....
