When i bought my SDR earlier this year i found a part in the bag with my parts manual and service book and owner manual, what the bloody hell is this thing and what does it do??
It's a side stand removal switch. Don't lose it as the side stand switch can go (mine did 3 weeks ago) and the side stand switch is £38, side stand removal switch is £18 (I know it's not a switch but hey its 7.30 am here, I've only had 2 sips of my coffee and vocabulary gears have yet to be engaged)
thanks mate.
So I've got another thread about all my loss of power issues.

This is about this strange plug I found near the ECU that isn't blanked or plugged into anything?!?! I cant seem to find where it needs to plug into either. Any ideas?

im not sure but it could be map sensor2 as in front cylinder. The plug looks about right... i have a diagram that i could send you if I get your email which might help
It's a connection from the main wiring loom to some emissions control kit that's only (?) fitted to US models.

I think it's a standard loom - I have this redundant connector also.
When I bought my 08 SDR, the dealer supplied me with a KTM-branded document satchel thing containing the manuals, brochures, some spare bolts and spacers and ... this. Anyone know what it is?

No markings of any kind and only two of the three pins in the plug are connected.
