Which Alarm ??

What alarm has everyone got fitted on their SD's and is there one thats particularly recommended for the SD.

Is it right that they have to be fitted by an approved bloke and if not which ones are easy DIY cheers

Why not use the alarm specific for the SD?

It is based on the Meta System 357 and plugs directly in to the KTM wiring loom.

It and its mounting kit are in the Powerparts catalogue

Thats the kind of alarm I'm looking for. Anyone got any idea how easy it is to fit. Is it literally plug and play. I had the Meta 357 on my Gixxer and it was pretty good. In fact Suzuki have just done a deal to fit them as standard.

Of course I'm waiting for the "if its not fitted by an approved dealer, its warranry is void and the insurance wont recognise it " blah blah.

My dealer fitted mine during the PDI.

Only took him an hour, though, if that helps!

I bought the actual alarm from Jersey, VAT free.

I've got the KTM alarm on mine... Seems to be decent, havent had much use for it yet, since the bikes garaged most of the time.

Get the factory one..... I fitted it in about 30 mins.... but i'm pretty good at that sort of thing... If you can change your cars oil it's a peice of piss.

2 questions:

1) how much did you pay in Aus?
2) why 30min? what is so tough about fitting it? is is not just plug in...but some more changes/connections?
