I didnt try the Tuneboy on a SD, but here is some facts.

Tuneboy offers a few more things than the PCIII. With the PCIII you can create a custom air/fuel map.

With Tuneboy you can also control/adjust ignition and move the rev. limiter. Some bikes can easily rev. higher than standard. One of my friends tuned a Triumph, and moved the rev limiter 1000 rpm up, because the bike still was producing power.

My best guess is that you dont need the extra features the Tuneboy offers. Also Tuneboy is a little more tricky to work with (if it is your first time, no problem for a Tuneboy pro).

Working with the PCIII is pretty much straight down the road (if you have a Dyno..... ), and there is many Dyno experts around, some better than others.

I have a TuneBoy. Will go to the dyno on Monday but I have a map now from a bike with the same spec. Revs 10k, feels like a rocket compared to before.

I have used both TB and PCIII. The TB COULD be extremely good if only the support wasn't so appalling.

The TB is supposed to be able to import PCIII tunes and it does to a point, but only a simple map rather than a dual map. Hardly any tuning shops can use TB so you really need to set up on PCIII and import the tune

Also the diag tools do not work properly and in the latest versions you can't raise the rev limit - only drop it.

And to avoid your ECU effing up your new TB tune you really need the PCIII O2 eliminators (about £30 a pair)

I'm sorry to say this but if Wayne wants to sell these things to KTM owners he's going to have to pull his finger out because, despite the fact TuneBoys work great on Trumpets, there is a lot of room for improvement for KTMs....unless someone has seen a later version which actually works in which case I will eat my own shorts.

My Motobox is on the way and our local Harley dealer has an excellent chain driven dyno and is well used to Tuneboy so I am thinking of buying but not quite convinced. Any comments, anyone got one recently? How did it go? do you need O2 eliminators or can Tuneboy just switch them off as the KTM Akra tune does ? And has anyone raised their rev limit? Was it worth doing, more H.P. or hold a gear longer until the next corner? Or is P.C.3 a better option? Don't hold back, I welcome your comments, good or bad.
