Winter Storage??

So, I've decided I'm going to try and get one last ride in up here in the great white north and then put up the vixen for the winter. It will be in a (somewhat) heated garage that I'll have regular access to for visitiations. I'd like to get some opinions as to standard procedure for winter bike storage and what members have been doing for the last couple years. My plan is to fill the tank with good fuel and stabilizer, move it around a fair bit to make sure the tyres don't flat spot, lots of lube on chain and anything else that has the potential to rust, battery out and on tender and ???

From what I've read elsewhere bud, is it not better to completely drain the tank if you are leaving it for a length of time?
Does the petrol not evaporate from the injectors/carbs/faeries that supply the bangy bits with fuel and gum 'em up with a glue like residue?
Gotta love my grasp of technical phrases, don't ya!

The tyre thing sounds like a plan, unless you have paddock stands?
Can't help much bud, mine is covered in three tonnes of ACF50 to keep her reasonably shiny over the next few months of riding through the keech.

You've got it about covered. I ride all year round, but for my track bike I top off the tank, float charge the battery, add fuel stabilizer, run it for about 5-10 min. and put it on front/rear stands. Next year I'll flush the brake fluid and then take it out and ride.
