Can anyone with a WP damper do a quick snap of the spacer for the tank mount and pop down some measurements for me, please?
I have everything bar the washer and need to machine one up.

Cheers.

I have a WP Damper that mounts to the fork tube and mounts UNDER the steering head....Im about to mount it and can measure out the spacer for you IF thats the one you need? I didnt know of a top mount damper?

So the measurements I took off the spacer for the undermounting WP Damper are: 25.5mm Length, 14.5mm OD, 8mm ID. The 14.5 is an average, as the dimensions are actually conical

Are you sure yours mounts on the top of the tank?

It's definitely onto of the tank.

Similar to this, but the damper bolts to a bracket attached to the top triple clamp.....Image
Thanks for taking the time to measure yours though.

I'll just have to offer it all up and machine up something that fits.

Dunno if this will help Ben but it may give you a clue by comparing sizes!?

Actually that might help. It seems that stepped washer on the right might be the thing I need to make.
I think it must locate inside the existing tank washer to raise the damper mount slightly.

Cheers Ash.

Yeah thats the bit you need Ben.

Dont know what ever happend to it??

Still have the original S shaped bracket (the one I had fabbed up) if you want it, its cracked on the thread and not usual but you could fab another up.

I have the steel one you supplied, that should work fine.
Keep hold of it though and I'll grab it off you when next we meet.

No worries, just for reference tried getting spares for the 05-06 damper and they dont have them as its discontinued-so not many of these about

The bit you need iss probably 6-10mm proud of where it fits into the mounting for the tank bolt.
